You spoke to my soul and I breathed in every word like it was oxygen that without it I would die. I drank you like you were the cure when maybe you were my poison. Try as I might to keep you out, you broke in to my heart and changed everything. I gave you the one thing I had that could destroy me. And you, my friend, are the person that can leave me broken. I know you feel it too. Silently aching for my touch, for my soul to again connect with yours as you pretend that you can live without us. I run away to my dreams for there is where we can be together.
Longing for her, every part of him desperately wanting to pull her closer as he continues to push her away in an effort to be a good man, he too runs to his dreams. Never able to fully give her up, his heart leads him to the place where they are to meet again. He opens his eyes in a world that houses every truth he can’t run from, to see her standing there illuminated by the stars they once stood under together. As hard as he tries, he can’t escape what he always knew. His need to be with her, to make her his and no one else’s, he is desperate to reach her. But she is slowly vanishing before his eyes. Her heart beat, that once matched his, grows softer as he watches his happiness slip away.

Nobody really knows what it is that they want. The future is as present as it is unknown. Every choice we make, every person we share stolen moments with, everything happening right now is creating something you may not even realize. I believe there is not just one future, but many, and all with the equal chance of life. Every memory you create has a future all its own. With so many choices and possibilities comes one fate that not even you can predict. You think you know what you want, but then one day, you look in her eyes and see something you never even knew you were looking for. I am going to be the one to dismantle everything you thought you knew, everything you thought you could live without. And it won’t be until it is right in front of you, walking away, that you see what it is you have always wanted. And just like that, everything you thought is no longer. She came in to your life and showed you what seems like a dream, something you never want to wake up from. Every stolen look is its own conversation, saying what you cannot say yourself. In those moments, the silence is loud and only heard by the two of you. Fate is now offering the potential for two like souls to maybe find true love together. But with three hearts all beating, craving to experience that one feeling only really shared by two and the butterflies, one heart will have to break.

I am writing to you today from the beautiful state of mountainy Colorado. What a change it is from the sandy shores of South Carolina, but both places are so inspiring and breath taking in their own unique way. Ashley Nicole and I both share the passion to travel. In fact, you can’t really keep us in one place for very long. We are hooked; and without our fix for something new, we can’t go on. Our trip to Colorado started off a bit rocky. With two destinations booked in one short week, we had to fit a lot of experience in to a very short time period. Our first day in Denver consisted of countless internet sites for carless lodging, two different hotels, and eventually a stroll through the vibrant and authentic streets of Downtown Denver, a place full of personality and life. It is always a good time in the city, especially when there is something new around every corner. If you want experience, take a walk through any and all cities. It will not disappoint. But like most free spirits and travel junkies, we also crave the complete 180.
So yesterday we travelled from the city to the Mountains and saw something so breath-takingly beautiful, you will have to see it to believe it. Vail, you truly are a heavenly place. The trip to get here however, was a little more due south. We woke up with the intentions of taking our first ride on the Greyhound bus lines, but were quickly caught in a road block when every seat turned out to be taken. The bus was full and we were not on it. So there we were, stuck in a bus station, suitcases in hand and no where to go. But nothing will keep us from our next experience. We found a way and it turned out working better than we could have expected. For without this small bump in our plans, we would not have gotten to experience the historic tour of the mountains and the mines or our first coffee stop at a local hole in the wall comfortably placed in the midst of a mountain. We have a few days left as city girls in the mountains, and rest assured, we do not plan to waste any of it. If I have learned anything so far, I would have to say that it is that there is no such thing as a wrong turn. Wherever you end up, is where you are meant to be, embrace it.
